"This morning, while we were sailing in 30 knots of wind from 150 degrees (south-easterly)  and we were trying to push the boat to the maximum, the medium spinnaker exploded after we hit a big wave...it's impossible to fix it.

"I'm afraid that without the medium spinnaker it's not going to be a real race. We will rest a little first and then we'll think what to do about it."
