Banque Populaire finishes sixth in the Transat Jacques Vabre Normandie Le Havre IMOCA

Clarisse Crémer and Armel le Cléac'h, on their 60ft monohull, Banque Populaire, have finished sixth in the IMOCA class of the 14th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre Normandie Le Havre after crossing the finish line in the Bay of All Saints in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 21:01:24 (UTC), 14 days, 08 hours 46 minutes and 24 seconds after leaving Le Havre, Normandy, France on Sunday, October 27 at 12:15 (UTC). 

Banque Populaire covered the theoretical course of 4,350 nautical miles at an average speed of 12.62 knots but actually sailed 4,862.06 nautical miles at an average speed of 14.10 knots. It finished 22 hours 1 minute and 24 seconds behind the winner, Apivia.

The 29-year-old Cremer became the first woman to finish in the IMOCA in this edition. 

Showing the incredible skills of the duo, Banque Populaire became the first boat without foils to finish in the IMOCA this edition.
