Imerys has been set free from the Doldrums and has escaped into the SE Trades!
Both very happy and mightily relieved to break away from the dreaded Doldrums last night with more wind on the exit, enabling us to get a head start into the trades. It look a long time to work in our favour but eventually the west pulled through with the fresh breeze reaching us sooner.
Consistent wind, sun, and 15 mile advantage - something we could have only dreamt about yesterday.
Now pushing hard to build up a cushion on the Mach 3's behind which will be very fast in reaching conditions towards Brazil.
Next stop Equator!
