We’re on our way in the trade winds now!

The last 24h were a little laborious: a shift of wind and pressure that held us up a bit: it benefited the boats further north, so the positioning to the west, to wait for this new wind, was profitable...

The next 24 hours should not be too violent, but they will be downwind: we’ll have to manage the windshadow of Madeira, passing the Canaries, before  definitively leaving the anticyclone behind and feeling the trade winds reinflate!

Small electronic failure this morning (the screen went completely) but, surprisingly, it happened at a time when managing the problem was simple: in the day, while still without a downwind sail and in manageable conditions... Usually, this kind of failure happens at the worst possible time!

After a good hour of investigations and tests, we found the culprit: a circuit breaker that was swinging in the air, but without tripping! We replaced it with the one from the standby pilot: everything is back to normal.

The bag of desserts is beginning to empty quickly, It may be necessary to negotiate with Alexia and Joan right in front of us! It's our motivation to speed up! :-)

Have a good Sunday!
