Skipper's log: Miranda Merron (Britain), Campagne de France (IMOCA)

Spectacular entry into the Doldrums last night with squall packing 35 +
knots, torrential rain (boat has had a thorough rinse at least), and
lightning everywhere. Very unsettling with a super conducting carbon mast
pointing in the air.
That particular cloud on the satellite picture was - still is - hundreds of
miles long.
And now as expected, we are surrounded by extraordinary clouds which are
having the last zephyrs for breakfast. It could take a few days to
extricate ourselves from here...
