It's okay, we just gybed, there’s a lot of wind; we’re under big gennaker passing the Canaries, it's quite lively. How does the gybe work? Well, we start to stack everything, then get the sails on deck. We are taking care not to damage the boat and two-handed this is the most stressful manoeuvre. Put it end to end, it takes the best part of half an hour, by the time we’ve put everything away at the end.

The sea is not great, but the swell is still quite long. This morning, it was hitting 30 knots, but now we have more like 20/21. The north-easterly wind has come in from the right, which is what allowed us to gybe. We’ll have this all day. I am learning things from Armel. He's the one who looks at the routing first. Then I look and we discuss it. It's cool because he knows how to do it. I see what he’s doing and I’m inspired. There’s always one of us on deck to watch the boat. The days pass pretty quickly like that. During the day, we always take a moment to dissect what is going to happen in the next few hours; we’re placing waypoints to know when the weather is bit easier, it's more conducive to spending more time together. But now, I can’t wait to go to the bunk. It’s my turn and Armel is helming right now because it's quite a technical downwind.
